What Do I Wear?!?

OK, what should I wear at my boudoir session?!?

Preparing for a photoshoot can be pretty overwhelming. We understand that. After all—it’s not every day that you do a boudoir shoot! It’s a special occasion and one that is both exciting and nerve-racking. We’re here to help. This week we’ll be giving you tips and advice to help you prepare for your Jezebel VonZephyr session. Today’s topic? What to pack and wear at your session!

Figuring out what to bring to your session may be stressful. What are you supposed to pack for a session where you will likely be half-naked for parts of it? Here are some tips to help get you started.

Experience self-love like never before, and book your session. Deposits start at $75 and you can book out up to 6 months in advance.

  • Did you have your style consultation yet? If not, then this will help to set you on the right path. We chat with you about your goals and motivations and also go in-depth about what you own and what you should bring with you. You’ll also receive some emails from Kaitlyn in the days leading up to your shoot to help you prepare for your special day!
  • What’s in your closet? Start there. Sometimes the most incredible photos feature the simplest items like a plain colored tee or some cute panties. Shop your closet first and pull out anything that you think might work.
  • What do you love? Some of the best shots feature clients in their favorite items. Do you have a beloved dress or favorite cardigan? Do you collect quirky socks? Own a bunch of shoes you’re obsessed with? Pack those things!

  • What are some of your must-have items? Do you want to be photographed in a certain dress? Are you looking to show off a special item like an heirloom book, Funko Pop collection or piece of antique jewelry? Do you want to wear your partner’s favorite t-shirt? Make a list of your must-have items, then be sure to pack them!
  • What’s your panty situation? We bet you probably have at least a couple of pairs of panties that you adore in your drawers. Bring those. And if you have any pieces of lingerie that make you feel sexy, powerful or badass bring those, too! We can work with anything you love.

  • Have you heard of the Client Closet? Jezebel VonZephyr has a closet that just begs people to play dress up. We have almost everything clients would need for a shoot including panties, hosiery, lingerie, bodysuits, shoes and many kinds of accessories. And the best part is that we have these things in an array of sizes because we know all women are worthy of gorgeous, sexy outfits for their shoots.  We’ve done several videos in our private Facebook group that show off our goods. (And by “goods” we mean our collection of dresses, panties and other fun apparel and accessories.) You should check them out and make a note of anything that catches your attention.

  • Do you want to shop? Then you should! You don’t have to purchase anything new for your shoot, but sometimes our clients use their session as a reason to splurge on some new panties or lingerie. We love that! If you want to use your shoot as a reason to treat yo-self go for it! Amazon, Target, Hips & Curves, Victoria’s Secret, Lover’s, Adore Me and TJ Maxx are all great places to check out. Many of our pieces in the Client Closet have come from those stores.

  • Do you feel like you’ve overpacked? Great! If you are coming to the studio with a suitcase stuffed with clothes, panties and beloved items then you’re on track to an epic session! We’d rather you bring too much than too little. If you’re questioning if you should bring something just pack it. We can figure out what we’ll use once you’re here. Leave it to us! We’ll make sure you look sexy, stunning and like the best version of yourself no matter what you bring or wear!

We know that coming in for a boudoir session isn’t easy. So if you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to make you feel amazing! Be sure to check out our next email, out later this week, where we’ll give more advice on how to prepare for your JVZ session.
