Client Feature Friday: Finding Comfort and Community in JVZ

Jezebel VonZephyr works with all kinds of women, from the suburbs of Seattle to all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We love connecting with each client, hearing their stories and capturing their unique spirit. We believe that each session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. Every Friday we’ll feature one of our clients and share a little about her. 

This week’s Belle now lives in Washington state but is originally from the Midwest! She decided to come in for a session after hearing about it from her friend and we’re so glad she did! Let’s hear more from this courageous and kind woman!

Age: 48

Where are you from? I was born in Michigan, raised in Alaska, spent 15 years raising my  kids in Wisconsin and have lived here in Washington for 16 years.

What is your theme song? “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” by Pat Benatar

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?  Kind, Caretaker, Leader

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? 

I have had one Jezebel shoot and it was wonderful. I loved every minute of it!

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ?

One of my good friends was telling us that she did the photos with them, and it sounded like it would be a lot of fun, and truly romantic if I did one , and took some sexy pics for my (then) boyfriend, who when I sent him the ones I did for him, I heard crickets. But to me the pics were gorgeous and I felt beautiful and amazing!

How did you feel before your shoot? 

I had to work a morning shift before my shoot and so I was exhausted, and also nervous and excited.

How was your session? What was your favorite part? 

My first session was wonderful!! My favorite part was the comfort I felt with these women, and how fun and exciting it was. They “got” me, and knew what I was going for.

What was your favorite look from your session? Why? 

It has to be a tie between the Stormtrooper helmet and the Star Wars Rebel Scum jacket. I feel silly with the helmet, but naughty, brave and badass in the rebel scum look. The Rebel Scum look felt like it showed the naughty inner me – the part no one gets to see.

How are you feeling since your session?

I have felt great and more comfortable about being sexy and open since my shoot!

Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? 

I brought my Rebel Scum jacket that I had made, because with all of the pins that are on it. I feel it really shows who I am inside from the outside: good, useful, and a bit on the rough side.

How was your reveal? 

My reveal was amazing. My friend Zoomed in with us (during quarantine) and I have never seen myself so beautiful.

Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ? 

DO it. Not only do these women make you feel special and amazingly beautiful, the time spent with them is also a fun self reward for all the BS we put up with in life.

Anything else you want to share about your session and/or experience? 

It was a wonderful session and I am really looking forward to doing it again! I also want to add that this experience brought a community of other women into my life, who have become an amazing support group, which I desperately needed when going through brain surgery. I’m really grateful.
