Staff Feature Saturday: Crown Kirwin Queen of Craftiness!

July is a beloved month at Jezebel VonZephyr. Why? Because it’s JVZ’s birthday month! We’re celebrating all month long with a special blog series that highlights the Jezebel team. Each Saturday in July we’ll feature one of the JVZ team members so that you, our lovely readers and clients, can learn more about us! 

To keep the party going we’re featuring Jezebel’s own craftmaster and Editor-in-Stealth: Kirwin! Let’s learn about this crafty, creative photo editor! 

Who are you? Hi! I’m Kirwin although most everyone calls me Kiwi, my name can be tricky to pronounce correctly. 🙂 🥝

How long have you been a part of the Jezebel team? And what do you do? I’ve been a Jezebel for….3 years? (Time flies when you’re part of an awesome team!) I’m the resident CraftMaster™️ and Editor-in-Stealth ✂️

Where are you from? I’m sorta from all over, but I originally hail from a teeny little town in Montana. I’ve been in the PNW my entire adult life though! 🗻

What is your theme song? Hmmm..I’m really vibing with “You Should See Me in a Crown” by Billie Eilish right now. 👑

When you’re not doing Jezebel things, what do you do? When not with the ladies of Jezebel I’m a professional CraftMaster, too. I’m part of the core production team at Ravenswood Leather in Southern Oregon. I am owned by one cat and enjoy gaming, reading and nerding out with friends at conventions, concerts and renaissance faires. 🐈‍📚🎮

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself? Daydreamer. Romantic. Nerd. 🤓🌹💭

What three words do you think the JVZ team would use to describe you? Silly, kind and…..Loyal 🤗🤔

Do you have a favorite drink? Iced tea. And for adult libations…I’m a whiskey girl! 🥃

What’s your favorite season? Why? Spring, cause I love new life and the re-emergence of the sun after often long winters. 🌿

What is your favorite swear word? Fuck! 😂🤬

Would you like to share a random fact about yourself? I’m an enabler. This power can be used for good or…well – if you need help deciding whether to splurge on that new pair of boots or that vacation to Bora Bora…I’m your gal! 😉🛍️ (Note from teammate Krissy: I can confirm that this is very accurate and is mostly a gift.) 

What book (or movie or TV show) do you recommend to all your friends? Supernatural, hands down. But also, Outlander and Jane the Virgin 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👻📺

Do you have a favorite JVZ shoot look or outfit? Or outfits?  My all-time favorite so far was the Castiel I did last year. Blue lingerie, trenchcoat, falling black feathers…it was magical! 

What advice do you have for anyone coming in for their first shoot? Trust these wonderful ladies, they are nothing but genuine and fun. Also… remember to BREATHE! You’re a Goddess who deserves to feel amazing about yourself! 💪🧘‍♀️

Can you share one of your favorite JVZ memories? Probably the thing that stands out the most was getting to see our new studio! It’s amazing to be able to see and support your good friends as they spread their unconditional love to women everywhere.❣️❣️

What are your biggest hopes and dreams for Jezebel VonZephyr? We already have people travel from other states and sometimes even other countries, but I hope our influence gradually takes over the world. It’s high-past time we ladies begin to love ourselves and each other more and Jezebel is fantastic at sharing that love and inspiring others to do the same! 💜💛💚💙❤️

Anything else you want to share with everyone? You are all incredible and SO deserving of all of your wildest dreams!
