Client Feature Friday: Finding Herself and Her Magic

Jezebel VonZephyr works with all kinds of women, from the suburbs of Seattle to all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We love connecting with each client, hearing her stories and capturing her unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we feature one of our clients and share a little about her. 

Today we feature a Belle who had such a good time at her first session this past winter that she returned this fall for more! She first came to the Jezebel studio to find self-love again. It’s a story that we hear quite a lot and something that we live to help women with! She went from nervous and stressed to uninhibited and empowered over the course of her session–it was a wonderful thing to behold! Age: I just turned 50! 

Where are you from? I’m from a small town in Michigan. 

What is your theme song? My all time favorite song is “Winners and Losers” by Social Distortion. It reminds me that we all have choices in our life. 

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself? Strong, creative, and a little weird.

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not, how many have you had? I’ve had two sessions. My first was this past winter and my second shoot was in September. 

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? I booked my first shoot for two reasons; the first being a surprise anniversary gift for my husband and the second reason was for myself. I had been in a spiral of self hatred and didn’t feel beautiful. I felt size dictated beauty. I wanted to find my self love again. 

I booked my second shoot because I just couldn’t resist the witch set! 

How did you feel before your shoot? I was so extremely nervous! This is something I would never have imagined myself doing and I usually am pretty modest so I wasn’t sure how comfortable I would be. I was worried that these feelings would show in my photos. 

How was your session? What was your favorite part? The session was beyond amazing! I felt so comfortable and really connected with Sara and Tiffany. All my inhibitions melted away. The favorite thing was time just melted away. I forgot about everything happening outside of the studio for a few hours and just had fun!    

What was your favorite look from your session? Why? From the first session, it’s hard to pick just one! I wanted the session to look sexy and that was captured in just about every photo! My most recent session was everything wicked and mysterious and I adored the witch set!!

How are you feeling since your session? Empowered! After my first session, I joined Conversations with Jezebel. The group and the conversations were really an awakening for me and helped me accept and love myself. 

Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? I didn’t bring anything special to my first session but for my second session I brought some of my books and tarot cards for the witch set. 

How was your reveal? I cried when I saw my photos! I was so amazed that those photos were actually me. 

Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ? DO IT! Get out of your head and have fun. 

Anything else you want to share about your session and/or experience? I feel like I have found my tribe because of this studio and my sessions. ❤️
