22 Apr Client Feature Friday: Permission to Embrace and Celebrate Her Royal Self!
Jezebel VonZephyr works with all kinds of women, from the suburbs of Seattle to all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We love connecting with each client, hearing her stories and capturing her unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so she can share a part of her story.
Today we feature a Belle who decided to do a second session because she really wanted to celebrate herself. We cannot think of a better reason to come to our studio and we were more than happy to remind her of just how regal and lovely she is! We could say so much more about this queen, but we’d rather she tell you her story herself!
Age: I’m 51, which is the new 31!
Where are you from? I’m from Chicago, Illinois!
What is your theme song? I have a few, but my two faves: “This is ME!” (from Greatest Showman) And “You are the Universe!” (from The Brand New Heavies).
What are three words you’d use to describe yourself? Kind. Inspirational. Funny.
Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not, how many have you had? No, this is my second shoot.
Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? Sometimes I need visual reminders of my royalty!
How did you feel before your shoot? It’s been a long couple years so I was happy to get into the studio for some of JVZ’s signature lovin’!
How was your session? What was your favorite part? My session was fantastic, as usual! Everything about my photo shoot was about me and what I loved, but there are those times when Sara will push you a little bit out of your comfort zone–lol! But if you trust her, you’re so happy you did because the photos come out so amazing–like “I can’t believe that’s me!”
What was your favorite look from your session? Why? That’s hard, I had so many but I think one of my faves is the black and white and color photos I have in lingerie lying back lavishly on pillows – I’m still kinda like, “wow that’s me!” LOL!
It’s a cool reminder that we are all beautiful if we take the time to just connect and celebrate ourselves.
How are you feeling since your session? I feel good, but I’m still sobered by the world and all that is happening. However, we should not feel guilty about celebrating and loving ourselves – we all need to take even more care now to love ourselves and our loved ones when we can.
Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? I brought my jewelry box and my crystals – they both give me energy. I wear earrings everyday, so that’s a big part of my daily look and I didn’t want to forget anything so I brought my whole jewelry box including the crystals I love to wear.
How was your reveal? Emotional. In a good way. It always is. I’m just always in awe of the way Sara and her team is able to bring out faces I haven’t seen before OR haven’t seen in a very long time. OR faces that I knew was in me but had never seen live until that particular picture comes up and then I’m like, “OMG, that is me!”
Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ? Give yourself permission to celebrate yourself. We spend money on everyone else. I was that way: always sacrificing for others. Now I really enjoy spending time and money on myself! It’s also about embracing me just as I am and being good and happy and loving and kind with myself just as I am as well.
Anything else you want to share about your session and/or experience? I got my big pics back and they are gorgeous!
Are you waiting for permission to celebrate yourself? Are you looking for a reminder of how powerful and amazing you are? Then look no further because this is your sign to book a Jezebel session! Like this beautiful Belle reminds us: we need to celebrate ourselves and give ourselves a reminder every once in a while of just how royally amazing we are. What better way than by spoiling yourself with a session? Give yourself permission to step into our spotlight. We can’t wait to welcome you and help you shine!
