Client Feature Friday: Seeing Herself From New Angles!

Client Feature Friday: Seeing Herself From New Angles!

Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on women of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear her stories and capture her unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so she can share a part of her story.

Today we hear from a Belle who’s had several shoots with Jezebel VonZephyr! She originally came to the studio to see if she could see herself the way her husband did. A few sessions later she is happy to report that she is seeing herself from new angles thanks to her Jezebel journey! Let’s hear what it’s been like for her!

Age: 52

Where are you from? I’m from Kenmore, Washington.

What is your theme song? I don’t have a theme song  – I just am not that connected to music.

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself? Talkative, vibrant asker.

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not, how many have you had? I’ve had three: two boudoir and one family session!

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? Krissy and Valerie both inspired me in 2019. Their posts in the Future Bells Facebook group helped me to consider doing a session–that and  the fact that my husband finds me sexy! (We married in 2019.) I figured I should see if I could see the same things he did.

How did you feel before your shoot? I was excited and suspicious about whether I would like the photos at my first session. Our family shoot was all outdoors and in the middle of a sun break during a very wet and stormy day so talk about frizz–we still love the pictures from it!

By my third session I was excited and ready to see new angles of me!

How was your session? What was your favorite part? I like having my hair and makeup done. The shoot is so easy with Sara and Tiffany because they just make you feel comfortable.  I have been photographed both in Bothell and Snohomish and I really like the space that the new building has to offer. My next shoot is going to be on location somewhere if those are available in the future!

What was your favorite look from your session? Why? In my last session my husband’s plaid shirt and black under-garments really ended up being my favorite.

How are you feeling since your session? I am reminded that I am fully worthy of being and taking up all the space I need in the world.

Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? I have Mal de Debarquement Syndrome which is a rare balance disorder that makes my whole world seem like a trampoline or suspension bridge.

June is MdDS  awareness month, which means that the few medical communities that research MdDS work hard to share information with mainstream medical professionals in hopes of raising awareness and improved diagnosis along with hope of garnering more funding for research to find a cause and cure for MdDS.

The ladies helped me share some of that feeling in the photos with motion and movement that allow me to see myself in the world I live. The 80s Weeble Wobbles (but they don’t fall down) made an appearance and that is how I see myself moving through the world.

How was your reveal? My reveals for the last two were virtual and for me that was great because I could work it into my work day. Even virtually the team made me feel special and were super helpful and encouraging.

Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ? Doooo iiiiitttt!!

You will not be sad!

Be the you that you are right now and just do it!

Anything else you want to share about your session and/or experience? Getting to wear the Dia dress was amazing!

In future shoots I want to play more in the Client Closet because I think there are some amazing things in there that I would love to be photographed in. I need to take advantage of future open houses to explore the Client Closet more.
