Client Feature Friday: Second Sessions & Self-Confidence

Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on women of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear her stories and capture her unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so she can share a part of her story. 

Today we feature a client who’d been looking for the right time to return to our studio for their second session. They felt more comfortable the second time around and think it shows in their photos. We couldn’t agree more! Let’s hear how their second session went!

Where are you from? I’m from Bothell.

What is your theme song? Shake it Out by Florence + the Machine 

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?  Loyal, funny, caring.

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not, how many have you had? This was my second session. 

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? I’ve been wanting to do another shoot since my first one in 2019 and JVZ’s birthday celebration seemed like a great time to do it!

How did you feel before your shoot? Super excited! I remembered how much fun I had the first time, and while I was a little nervous back then I felt much more confident this time. 

How was your session? What was your favorite part? Everyone who works at JVZ is a sweetheart, so it was fun joking around with them while taking pictures. I’m non-binary and I really appreciate that they took that to heart while figuring out poses, helping me to express both feminine and masculine energies.

What was your favorite look from your session? Why? That’s hard. (I’ve got a few favorites.) I think it might be the one where I look upside down. Sara climbed up on the chair behind me to get the shot and I love how much my eyes pop. Though I also love all of the ones when I’m wearing the black lace bodice and lounging around. 

How are you feeling since your session?  I’ve been feeling really good! It’s a blast showing my loved ones my photos and having a momento to remind myself that every side of me is beautiful. 

Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? I brought in a long jacket that I call my pirate coat. I got it to officiate a wedding in it and putting it on makes me feel powerful. 

How was your reveal? Such a wonderful time! It was great seeing how everything turned out, especially my pictures taken in the white nightgown. I thought it’d be fun to look like a character out of a romance novel and that’s how I felt!

Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ?  Do it!

It’s such a joy when I’m feeling down to scroll back through my photos to remind myself that I deserve to be and feel celebrated.

Everyone deserves to feel that way.
