Get your pink glitter ready! Put on your puffiest prettiest party dress! And grab your friends from the Dream House because this year’s theme is in honor of our favorite girl…

2023 is all about BYOB: Be Your Own Barbie!!

Why? Because our friend Barbie has always inspired us to go for our dreams and be whatever we want to be. She’s inspired us to dream big, embrace our authenticity and never settle for anything less than the things that we love.

Barbie embodies the Jezebel spirit so we cannot think of a better icon to base our tenth anniversary celebration around! 

This party is also an excuse for you to dress as extra as you’d like!

We can think of nobody more extravagant or glamorous than Barbie, so this is your permission slip to take some inspiration from this icon and dream big!

Did you have a favorite Barbie growing up? Now’s your chance to dress like her! Or maybe Barbie had a career that you envied, like a rock star, SeaWorld trainer, or fashion model. Now’s your chance to be that Barbie! Go wild and channel your best inner Barbie because there will be a contest and prize for the person voted best dressed! 

We’re celebrating extra hard this year because it’s Jezebel’s tenth birthday.

A decade ago Sara had an audacious dream, a lot of drive, and the tenacity to make that dream a reality. Now, ten years later nearly 1,400 womxn have seen themselves through the Jezebel lens of love and countless lives have been changed for the better.

We want to raise our glasses to the community that Jezebel has created. And dance in celebration of the fact that this small business has not just survived but thrived in the decade it’s been around. We think Barbie would want to throw us the most epic soiree for these accomplishments, don’t you? 

Where’s the party at? 

We invite you to step inside the JVZ Dream House, AKA our studio in historic downtown Snohomish. We may not have a water slide but we do have an amazing studio with many magical sets that allow our clients to feel like dolls, goddesses and badasses! And we don’t want to brag, but our Client Closet may just rival Barbie’s!

You’ll have the opportunity to tour the studio and imagine yourself dolled up at the celebration. We want to note that parking in Snohomish can be a bit of a challenge so be sure to factor that into your plans if you’ll be driving your own Corvette or dream car to the party! 

When is it, darling? 

Jezebel VonZephyr turns ten this July so we are celebrating on Saturday, July 29th. 

The party begins promptly at 6 pm, but like Barbie, you’re allowed to be fashionably late if you so wish. We’ll be toasting and dancing and celebrating until 9 pm, so you have plenty of time to drop by our Dream House (AKA the JVZ studio). 

Who’s Invited? 

Everyone! Well…sort of. You are welcome to bring your partners if you so please, or any of your friends or family who are over 21!

Just like Barbie loves and accepts all, so do we. What we mean by that is that the Jezebel VonZephyr community is a proud LGBTQIA ally and supports this community 100%. Our studio is a safe space where you are welcome to show up authentically.

And while we love your cute kids and furry friends, they cannot come to this celebratory soiree, sadly.

What to wear? What to wear?

Darling, this is your chance to be whoever and/or whatever you want to be! Take your cues from Miss Barbara Millicent Roberts and dress in whatever your heart desires! Do you want to celebrate the holiday season? Then deck the halls in your best Christmas dress! Dream of being president or CEO? Bust out the blazer and create a look that Barbie, Midge and Skipper would all admire! Ever wanted to run away to Malibu? This is your chance to dress like you spend every summer there, darling! 

Barbie’s been a ballerina, an astronaut, a doctor, a showgirl, a floral designer, a rapper, a teacher and about 200 other things. May her illustrious life and many varied careers and dreams inspire a most epic outfit for this celebration! 

What will be happening at this party?

Oh, friend, so SO much will be happening! Jezebel parties always have some surprises, but we can confirm that there will be some pretty wonderful things happening this year including:

• A photo booth with a life-size Barbie box!
• A raffle with some pretty incredible prizes!
• A costume contest! 
• Dance party! 
• Delicious treats and drinks to dazzle and delight! 

This will be an occasion to dance, drink, show off your amazing outfit and celebrate all things Jezebel–and Barbie! 

A Big Ticket Event!

We cannot wait to celebrate ten amazing, magical, soul-shaking, heart-affirming, community-uplifting years of Jezebel with you! You can get your tickets by visiting this link.

Make sure you snag yours quickly–tickets are limited and may sell out! Tickets are $30 if purchased before July 16th. After that the price will go up to $50 from July 16th through the 29th. Tickets will not be sold at the door of the event. Barbie would advise you to save some stress (and cash!) and get your tickets ASAP so you can start planning your party outfit! (We just happen to agree with her.)

Barbie wouldn’t be who she is today without her friends and community. The same goes for Jezebel–we know we have one of the most magical, supporting, uplifting communities around! 

This party honors not just Jezebel, but all of the amazing womxn and clients who’ve helped to make this business and studio what it is today. We are so proud not only of this studio and its growth but of all of the badass women who have stepped in to support this journey and the message we are sharing.
