Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on womxn of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear their stories and capture their unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so they can share a part of their story.

Leaning into her mischievous nature, our Belle this week brought representations of several of her fandoms in for her shoot, as well as one really special item from her wedding! Read on to get to know a little bit about this Oak Harbor native who started her journey towards self-love and appreciation and is embracing every facet of herself along the way!

Mischievous, Strong, Nerdy
 

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not how many have you had? 

Yes, this was my first shoot.

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? 

I had starting working on my self and my confidence. I started going to the gym and started feeling better about my appearance, then I had talked about doing a boudoir shoot.
 
I wasn’t sure where to start and ran into their booth at Emerald City Comic Con.  Everything aligned and I would get to dress up nerdy while still trying something new.
 
How did you feel before your shoot? 
 
Nervous and excited, I had been looking forward to it for months, but while I would not say I was shy exactly this was definitely a new experience and being in my underwear in front of stranger was new! 

How was your session? What was your favorite part? 

I am honestly not sure what my favorite part was it was so much fun! We got through all 6 of my outfits which was insane! The team was amazing, I felt beautiful and it made it easier to be brave enough to just not feel like hiding the parts of myself I don’t like, and just enjoy myself and feel sexy.
 

What was your favorite look from your session? Why? 

This one is hard, because each one was so different and every outfit resulted in pictures that I absolutely loved. I do not know if I can pick just one! If I had to limit it to like two, it would be a toss up of my Batman/Bruce look – I love the robe and the sheer top showed off my tattoo, and paired with the cuffs probably resulted in my favorite picture but I had so much fun in the Harley!  Putting it together and knowing the amount of work put into it I was super proud of it.

How are you feeling since your session? 

Pretty good, trying to continue the confidence and grow more comfortable with the parts of self I like to hide. I am even in October performing a dance in front of an audience for the first time ever! 
 

Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? 

So I had a few special items starting with my bat heels that I wore in the Jason Todd/Red Hood outfit. They were the heels I wore at my wedding first because I thought they look good of course, but I also didn’t really have a lot of photos in those, and I thought it would be a cute touch I knew my wife would see.  My hammer for the Harley outfit, which my wife and I made specifically and it turned out great!

How was your reveal? 

I was so happy and excited my pictures were stunning! I had my wife with me and she was absolutely ecstatic about them as well!
 

Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ? 

You should do it! It was a great experience. Pick things you find joy in wearing and let yourself be brave.
