Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on womxn of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear their stories and capture their unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so they can share a part of their story.
It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for a new client spotlight!
Our feature this week introduces us to a thoughtful and caring Belle originally from Portland who has a fondness for small towns, Ed Sheeran and the people of the Pacific Northwest. A chance encounter at a wine walk led to a spontaneous decision to celebrate herself and everything she has to offer ♥
Where are you from? Where do you live now? What’s your favorite thing about where you live?
Born in Portland, OR and grew up mostly in Ferndale, WA. Moved to Seattle to go to UW, so I like the people. I would go back to small town though.
What are some of your favorite songs/artists? Do you have a theme song–if so, what is it and why does that song(s) resonate with you?
Ed Sheeran, love his love songs. Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez. Really liking Morgan Wallen lately. Theme song would be Bohemian Rhapsody cause I love it.
What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?
Thoughtful, Caring and Handful
Is this your first Jezebel session? If not, how many have you had and in either instance, what was your favorite part?
Yes, first session!
What made you want to have a boudoir session and what made you choose Jezebel as your studio?
I was on a wine walk and all of a sudden I was purchasing a date. I went with it. I feel like I’ve maybe lost myself since my stroke. Love my new self and there’s some parts I miss and that’s probably my more daring side. It’s there, somewhere.
What were your expectations going into the session and was the experience different or as you expected and how?
I don’t know what I was expecting, but it was a lovely, enjoyable time. I’m glad it was! I didn’t think it was going to be bad or anything. I just didn’t know what to expect and was just trying to keep an open mind!
Tell me about your session–your favorite set? outfit? prop? moment? favorite studio piece you used/wore? What stood out the most?
I think my favorite set was the last one: dark, mysterious and just fire! I never wore that piece which I love and it was just a different piece than I guess I expected.
How did you feel about the guidance you received during the session?
I felt it was reassuring and helpful.
Tell us about your hair styling/makeup application? How was your time in the chair? What did you really love?
Love, love, love the makeup and time in the chair. It really did help me get comfortable and everything into place. It was relaxing my nerves, for sure. I was nervous and it really did put me at ease.
How do you feel JVZ managed your privacy and confidentiality, both of your images and of you during your time with us?
They did great and my full trust is with them.
How were you feeling leaving the studio and leading up to your photo reveal appointment?
So very happy and comfortable. So glad I decided to do this!
How was your reveal appointment? What did you like the most about it? What did you take home with you?
It was great!

Other than “just do it”, what advice would you offer a friend interested in a session to book with Jezebel? What tips might you give? What were the best tips you received either from us or from others?
Relax and enjoy and trust you’re in good hands. It’s empowering and it’s you, so celebrate yourself.
