Meet the creative force behind the Jezebel blog—a passionate visual storyteller with an eye for emotion and a heart rooted in authenticity. Whether featuring client stories or highlighting upcoming events at Jezebel, Kirwin curates content that uplifts and empowers.
Hi! I’m Kirwin (KEER-win) (She/Her) and I’m the creative behind the Jezebel blog. I’ve been part of the Jezebel family for…I think almost ten years(?!) now and have worked on and off with Sara and the team for several of those years.
I daydream about new ideas pretty often, but my current goal is to do a deep-woods photoshoot in the fall. Think whimsical and haunting, feral and witchy – with fog and a creek and lots of moss and trees. Ooh, maybe with a storm that rolls in mid-session🌲🍂🍄🌲
I really find Thistle & Spire pieces to be quite beautiful and unique – and I really love that they offer so many exclusive sizes…
However, I think my favorite lingerie company is a tiny little woman-owned boutique in the Scottish Borders of the UK. Miss Vivienne Lingerie works with beautiful lace and everything is hand-made in her studio. Last year she made me a custom bodysuit in sheer navy blue mesh with embroidered constellations all over it! I’m super excited to wear it in a future session!
As a seamstress myself, I love when items are bespoke and custom made to fit. 💖
Anyone who knows me knows I love Supernatural. This show literally changed my life in more ways than I can count. Supernatural led me to conventions. It led me to solo travel to Germany. Probably most importantly, it led me to Jezebel ♥
For about two solid years, I found myself on an airplane roughly every six weeks going a new convention or music festival – often following Louden Swain (the band for the character Chuck/God in the show) across the country.
This is such a fun question – I pretty often do all three of these things! As a kid I devoured books at a pretty impressive pace, but hadn’t been reading as much up until the beginning of last year. I’m happy that I’ve rediscovered my love of reading. Fantasy rules my life, and I’m shamelessly a huge fan of the romantasy genre when I’m not reading about mythology.
As for specific titles, I’ve really loved the Empyrean series, and am currently reading through the intertwined worlds of the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer Armentrout. One of my favorite trilogies that isn’t romantasy is the Bloodsworn Saga by John Gwynne – his world and character building is top notch! 📖
Outside of books, I’m a HUGE HUGE Hozier girl, there’s something poetic and wild and a little mysterious about him, and I never tire of his music. Favorite tracks include ‘No Plan’, ‘Talk’ and ‘Work Song’, but really – I love them all! In the car, I also constantly have EPIC: The Musical on repeat🎶
Finally, I’m a huge gaming nerd. RPG’s top my list of favorite genres, with God of War, the Dragon Age Series and of course Baldur’s Gate in my top three, but I’ve been on a nostalgic kick lately and have been exclusively focused on a new heavily-modded Stardew playthrough. 🎮
I work almost exclusively from home currently, as I re-located to Texas several years ago to follow my full-time job. I’m excited to say I’m finally on my way back to Washington! 🌲☔
When I’m not working, I love playing games, reading and listening to music. I’m also finishing my Bachelor’s Degree in Game Art and have contemplated pursuing my Master’s Degree as well. 📚✒️
I love studying mythology and am fascinated by languages – I’m currently learning Norwegian and, once I’m settled I want to dive into learning Icelandic and Welsh-Gaelic. 🐉
I love to travel, and am planning a trip to Europe, with an emphasis on Norway and the British Isles. ✈️
When I’m not daydreaming about traveling or have my nose in a book, I’m busy designing a lingerie line centered around fandoms and fantasy 🪡
I love many aesthetics though I feel like a lot of them seamlessly shift into one another depending on how I’m feeling that day. I’m a total bog-witch at heart and love the feral, wild and magic identities that (especially) womxn are beginning to reclaim. On the softer side of this is the whimsy and simplicity of cottage-core living. 🏡🍄🧺🌿
I also really vibe with the moodiness of Dark Academia and Victorian/Historic maximalism. ☕📜🕯️
Kindness. As simple as that sounds, watching the world shift their perspective little by little from greed and jealousy and hatred into kindness, compassion and patience never ceases to amaze me. When the fate of our country seems hopeless it’s the little bits of news (like 3D-printed coral reefs and the ice mass of Antartica doubling for the first time in a decade) that gives me hope. It’s people coming together to stand up for minorities and injustices against those who can’t speak for themselves. 🫶🏻
The sheer complexity and wild rawness of nature inspire me everyday. Thunderstorms and grand forests that were around long before my ancestors and will continue to stand sentry long after I’m gone. The lives of moths and the intelligence of ravens. The knowledge that we as humans will likely never know the extent of life under the ocean or the mysteries of the cosmos. 🌱🌿🍃
This quote is actually lyrics from a song, but are so meaningful to me that I have them tattooed on my arm. It reminds me that even on hard days, tomorrow gives us another chance to reset. It reminds me to breathe when life becomes overwhelming. ☀️🌌🌙
Nerdy, Genuine, Feral
Spending a year traveling the world. Preferably with a someone close to me or a small group of like-minded friends. I love the idea of getting on a plane and spending two weeks to a month in every country I’ve ever wanted to visit.

Definitely shapeshifting. It’s all the best superpowers available under one umbrella! 👤⇌🐺
This one is really hard! There’s so many to choose from! Let’s see…Liam from Fourth Wing. I feel like he’s unfairly put in Xaden’s shadow, even if he doesn’t think so. 🔥🐲
I think we’d talk about everything from growing up in a rebel nation, to dragons to the notion of unshakeable loyalty. 🐦🔥
Definitely Castiel. And Sam. And Crowley. I’m sure we’d find lots to ‘talk’ about 🪽🌌🗡️
JUST DO IT!!
Even though that feels like an easy answer, I know from experience it isn’t! But I confidently can say that being part of the Jezebel tribe has changed my life. While not easy, I’ve been inspired to slow down, become kinder and more empathetic. I’ve also learned to stop the war with my body that seems to be part of our programming as womxn.
Don’t know what to wear? We have a closet for that! Worried about how to pose? We’re here to help! Finances an issue? Payment plans are available!
Take a moment to be with yourself and consider how experiencing Jezebel might just change your life.
Jezebel Europe.
…Just Say’n
In all seriousness, I see the message Jezebel stands for changing the lives of countless womxn. It already does. If we could bring this vision to a second location…there’d be no stopping us. 💪🏻💥👑
Kirwin is a loyal, passionate and nerdy human who would love to tell your story on the Jezebel blog. ♥
