Client Feature Friday: A Taste of the Divine

Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on womxn of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear their stories and capture their unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so they can share a part of their story.

Our client feature Friday this week introduces us to a protective and caring Belle who has a fondness for a variety of music, the water near her home in Edmonds, and Supernatural!  This was her second session, and she was ready to play with fire! Pull up a seat and read on as this amazing human tells us about how she continues to discover more of her power each time she spends a day with us at the studio

Where are you from? Where do you live now? What’s your favorite thing about where you live?

I am originally from Monroe Washington, but I currently live in Edmonds. My favorite thing about where I live is how close to the ferry and the water I am.

What are some of your favorite songs/artists? Do you have a theme song–if so, what is it and why does that song(s) resonate with you?

Oooo, that is a hard question since I have so many! A few songs would be “Lilith” by Saint Avangeline, “Cry Me A River” sung by Ella Fitzgerald, “The Summoning” by Sleep Token, and “Sounds of Someday” by Radio Company.

The theme song for me is hard to choose, but I think I have two theme songs:  “I love you, I’m Sorry” by Gracie Abrams for the more softer, caring side; the side that gets more emotional and heartbroken by people, actions, or events. The second theme song I would choose would be “Older” by Isabel LaRosa for more of the sensual, cold, and protective side of who I am.

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?

Protective, Caring, Quiet

Is this your first Jezebel session? If not, how many have you had and in either instance, what was your favorite part?

This is my second session and it was amazing!

I felt more relaxed with this session, in my first one I was anxious cause I had never done something like this. This being my second time I felt more comfortable with everything, so getting to experiment with a more masculine but still girlie side was fun!

What made you want to have a boudoir session and what made you choose Jezebel as your studio?

Needed to feel back to myself and with going further in college I wanted to feel better about myself. I chose Jezebel cause of the feeling I had after my first session. I finally felt pretty because of all the magic they have!

What were your expectations going into the session and was the experience different or as you expected and how?

I was ready for the less frilly looks but I wasn’t expecting how much I was gonna smile during the session since I hadn’t felt very smiley at that time. Seeing the pictures of me smiling and knowing those smiles were real made me so happy.

Tell me about your session–your favorite set? outfit? prop? moment? favorite studio piece you used/wore? What stood out the most?

Favorite set would have to be Luxe Goddess cause oh my goodness I loved it!

Favorite outfit would have to be the black pleather under bust corset with the blue flannel and 8′ red tartan, I still love that outfit to this day.

Favorite moment would have to be getting my makeup and hair done and just having fun talking and updating on how life has been.

Favorite prop would definitely be “The Colt”, the “First Blade” and for the first time getting to use John’s dog tags was so fun!

How did you feel about the guidance you received during the session?

The guidance was amazing especially when I didn’t quite know how to stand or pose.

Tell us about your hair styling/makeup application? How was your time in the chair? What did you really love?

Overall? Super calming and amazing. I loved the makeup! I love having dark eye shadow looks with my light blue eyes and the makeup was perfect. 🥰

How do you feel JVZ managed your privacy and confidentiality, both of your images and of you during your time with us?

I feel JVZ did amazing with keeping things private which was nice plus it was calming and quiet in the studio. I really appreciate that I wasn’t overstimulated.

How were you feeling leaving the studio and leading up to your photo reveal appointment?

I felt very happy since I did this kinda to treat myself for my 22nd birthday, but I also felt very empowered.

How was your reveal appointment? What did you like the most about it? What did you take home with you?

I was speechless seeing the pictures, the slideshow was beautiful with amazing choices in music. I was amazed at the pictures even if I knew what I was doing during my session. Its different seeing the after image.

Have you had any lasting impact/perspective shifts since your appointment? If so, please share as much as you’re comfortable with.

I feel like I can stand up for myself a bit better and I can let myself be more grown up and an overall stronger person.

Other than “just do it”, what advice would you offer a friend interested in a session to book with Jezebel? What tips might you give? What were the best tips you received either from us or from others?

Its ok to feel nervous, let the energy of you being nervous turn into excitement! This is all celebrating who you are and who you want to be

Anything else you’d like to share?

I love coming back because afterwards I feel better in who I can be as a person.

This client’s story really shows how magical a boudoir photoshoot can be in reclaiming our authentic selves. Her session with JVZ wasn’t just about taking beautiful photos; it was an uplifting, genuine space where she got to be reminded of how powerful and strong she is!
