Client Feature Friday: I Want to Break Free

Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on womxn of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear their stories and capture their unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so they can share a part of their story.

Our client feature Friday this week introduces us to an entertaining and Clever Belle who has a fondness for dressing up, Queen and the flora and fauna of the Pacific Northwest!  After originally meeting us at our booth at Emerald City Comic Con, she’s now a returning Belle – ready to divulge her favorite parts about the boudoir experience at Jezebel

Where are you from? Where do you live now? What’s your favorite thing about where you live?

I’m originally from Seattle, but now live in Monroe. I love the trees and variety of animals that roam through our yard.

What are some of your favorite songs/artists? Do you have a theme song–if so, what is it and why does that song(s) resonate with you?

Blue October, Matchbox 20, Queen, Dolly Parton. I like to think my theme song is “I want to break free” by Queen. I feel like there is someone that I need to be but haven’t found her yet.

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?

Entertaining, Unusual, Clever

Is this your first Jezebel session? If not, how many have you had and in either instance, what was your favorite part?

Nope! This is actually my second session.

What made you want to have a boudoir session and what made you choose Jezebel as your studio?

The feeling of being free to be who I am was definitely my favorite part! Getting a chance to dress up and be an alter ego is so much fun! I chose Jezebel after meeting ya’ll at Seattle Comic Con and felt right away how much you love your work and your products. I knew you would be able to capture my vision while making me feel comfortable.

What were your expectations going into the session and was the experience different or as you expected and how?

I didn’t really have any expectations for my session. I did think that I would be more reserved than I was, but I felt comfortable right away!

Tell me about your session–your favorite set? outfit? prop? moment? favorite studio piece you used/wore? What stood out the most?

All of your sets are great! I love the brick wall and what I think of as the French masquerade backdrop. My off shoulder red dress was my favorite. Together the photos came out beyond my expectations!

How did you feel about the guidance you received during the session?

Great! Felt very natural, comfortable and not at all demanding.

Tell us about your hair styling/makeup application? How was your time in the chair? What did you really love?

I thought the hair/makeup session was wonderful. Each time the artist has gotten exactly what I was looking for.

How do you feel JVZ managed your privacy and confidentiality, both of your images and of you during your time with us?

I feel that you managed it all with grace and professionalism ♥

How were you feeling leaving the studio and leading up to your photo reveal appointment?

Very anxious and excited!

How was your reveal appointment? What did you like the most about it? What did you take home with you?

Reveal was very well done. I liked that you get to go through the photos several times.

Have you had any lasting impact/perspective shifts since your appointment? If so, please share as much as you’re comfortable with.

I really just can’t wait to do it all again!

Other than “just do it”, what advice would you offer a friend interested in a session to book with Jezebel? What tips might you give? What were the best tips you received either from us or from others?

Try to act like you are all alone. What would you do in that outfit? Be playful and have fun with it!

Anything else you’d like to share?

Just that I’d definitely recommend you to anyone!

This client’s story really shows how freeing a boudoir photoshoot can be in celebrating our authentic selves. Her session with JVZ wasn’t just about taking beautiful photos; it was an uplifting, genuine space where she got to feel pampered and walked away after a fun day feeling bold and empowered!
