Client Feature Friday: Fly Me to the Moon

Client Feature Friday: Fly Me to the Moon

Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on women of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear their stories and capture their unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so they can share a part of their story.

Our client feature Friday this week introduces us to a sassy and kind animal lover who has a fondness for all the great musicians of the 40’s and 50’s. The local wildlife and the small town ambience of her hometown are a few of the things she loves most about living in the Pacific Northwest.

After experiencing a great deal of loss and then turning 70, she decided it was time for a little pampering!

Pull up a seat and read on as this amazing lady tells us about how she felt getting to wear her mother’s headpiece in one of her sets, and the honor that women deserve to show their bodies with boudoir session ♥

Where are you from? Where do you live now? What’s your favorite thing about where you live?

I’m originally from Burlington, WA but now live in Granite Falls. My favorite part about where I live is the roaming wildlife, rivers/streams, and small town ambiance.

What are some of your favorite songs/artists? Do you have a theme song–if so, what is it and why does that song(s) resonate with you?

I’m all about old jazz from the 40s/50s era. ALL Woman singers especially Ella Fitzgerald plus Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, BB King, Etc…..

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?

Sassy. Animal (Lover). Kind

Is this your first Jezebel session? If not, how many have you had and in either instance, what was your favorite part?

This is my first session and my favorite part was the selection of all the different rooms/sets to choose from AND the pampering.

What made you want to have a boudoir session and what made you choose Jezebel as your studio?

I lost my Mother & Brother within 4 months,  I’ve had full shoulder surgery and I just turned 70. Jezebel was the first studio to come up when I started my search, plus they were super close to my home – only 30 minutes away!

What were your expectations going into the session and was the experience different or as you expected and how?

I didn’t know what to expect, I just wanted an experience. It was a fabulous afternoon with expectations exceeded because of the clothing picked for my body curves.

Tell me about your session–your favorite set? outfit? prop? moment? favorite studio piece you used/wore? What stood out the most?

The wall of 3D flowers was beautiful and pairing it with  the pink corset gown was exactly the look I wanted. Being able to wear my Mom’s headpiece in that outfit was so incredible!

I loved laying on the chaise lounge with my legs up the back.

The mirror/high heel shoes as I can’t wear with my foot proportions. The comfort of Lights -Camera -Action.

How did you feel about the guidance you received during the session?

It was a MUST to set the mood. Thank you Sara

Tell us about your hair styling/makeup application? How was your time in the chair? What did you really love?

My stylist was gentle and she payed attention to the details of my eyes. Relaxing. It was all about me and I loved highlighting my best features. 🥰

How do you feel JVZ managed your privacy and confidentiality, both of your images and of you during your time with us?

They managed it so well – I felt 100% taken care of.

How were you feeling leaving the studio and leading up to your photo reveal appointment?

I left excited and looking forward to the reveal.

How was your reveal appointment? What did you like the most about it? What did you take home with you?

I was surprised.

My body Is Okay ♥

I felt such happiness… plus a bit of nerves to show my Husband.

Have you had any lasting impact/perspective shifts since your appointment? If so, please share as much as you’re comfortable with.

Oh Yes! My man is thrilled for the framed picture to hang in his home office. Enough Said 😇.

Other than “just do it”, what advice would you offer a friend interested in a session to book with Jezebel? What tips might you give? What were the best tips you received either from us or from others?

Women deserve to honor their bodies with this adventure. It really does make a difference in how you feel about yourself.

Look through their website and call to speak with one of the amazing people of Jezebel. Nothing set in stone unless you are ready – there’s absolutely no pressure!

Take advantage of the makeup/hair stylist, she won’t overdue unless you want that. She really listens to your wishes!

Don’t forget to bring a couple of comfortable clothing pieces (just in case), and favorite jewelry or accessories. These personal pieces can really set the tone for your images!

Anything else you’d like to share?

Show up for your appointment with a relaxed mind and rested body…and be prepared for a Wowzer moment.

This client’s story really shows how soothing a boudoir photoshoot can be when we just need a moment to honor ourselves. Her session with Jezebel wasn’t just about taking beautiful photos; it was a relaxing, comfortable space where she got to feel pampered and walked away with a fresh sense of excitement.
