Client Feature Friday: Oh Honey Bunny!

Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on womxn of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear her stories and capture her unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so she can share a part of her story.

Today we feature a first-time Belle who came in because she wanted to give her husband a gift. She was thrilled to find out that the experience was really for her! Read on to hear how it helped her self-confidence and why a bunny suit means so much to her.

Age: 37

Where are you from? Born and raised in Boise, Idaho. My boyfriend at the time got transferred up here when we had only been dating 9 months. He came home from a business trip and told me he got an amazing offer but has to move. He did not want to ask me to go with him but wanted me to come. I told him nearly instantly I was coming with him. We have been here in the area since 2016, have been married for 4 years now, and love it so much!

What is your theme song? Lately anything from Lizzo. I did not know until recently how empowering she was and her music just makes me happy. 

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?  Happy. Caring. Sassy.

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not, how many have you had?  This was my first Jezebel shoot. I thought it would be a great gift to my husband for his birthday. I soon realized it was so much more than that.

It was a boost of self-confidence and inspiration to continue to be my bad ass self and not care what others think. 

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? Well initially it was for my husband’s birthday gift but ultimately it’s been for me.

I have images now that remind me that I can do anything. I am beautiful and I can conquer the world!

How did you feel before your shoot?  Before I got to the shoot all day I was so excited and a little bit nervous. I was not sure what to expect. I had never done anything like this before.

When I got there Tiffany and Sara were so kind and got right into how this was for me and not my husband. They wanted to know about all the things I brought and what made me bring these things. I felt instantly like I was a star and they pulled out the real me. 

How was your session? What was your favorite part?  My session was amazing! I laughed and giggled through the whole thing.

I was in these awkward positions and felt strange but then Sara or Tiffany would say something amazing like “look at that booty!” or “Yes that is so sexy!” and I would come right back into feeling amazing. 

My favorite part…. I think the most memorable part was when I was to put on a harness that I brought and couldn’t figure it out. I had to open the door and with a likely pitiful look on my face say “I don’t know how to put this on.” I then giggled and they came to the rescue and figured it out all while I was just standing there naked! Haha! It’s a pretty great memory.

What was your favorite look from your session? Why? I think it has to be the bunny look. It is a special outfit because my husband bought it for me and surprised me with it. He blindfolded me and put it on one night. I had no idea what it was until it was on me and I looked in the mirror.

I love that these pictures were taken in the red room. I saw that room before my session and instantly loved the backdrop.

How are you feeling since your session? Since my session I have felt like a badass. I am very confident in myself and love how the images turned out. My husband has one on his lock screen on his phone. I see it from time to time and think “who is that? Oh yea it’s me!!”

Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? My bunny suit.  I also brought a harness thing that I had just got and never worn before. I don’t know that I would be able to get it on again without Tiffany and Sara’s help.

How was your reveal?  My reveal was a few weeks ago and it was amazing. I sat there in awe of the work that Sara and Tiffany did to get me to look like that. I loved just watching the slideshow and remembering what had happened at every image and the poses I was in. 

Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ?  It was the best experience ever! You have to do it. Anyone who is slightly thinking about doing a shoot with JVZ should.

It is the best thing I have done for myself.

Anything else you’d like to share? I just want to thank JVZ for making this an amazing experience. One that empowers me to continue to be confident in myself.

Even on hard days where I don’t feel like that badass I can look at these images and remember I am that badass.

I felt like a queen on shoot day everything was about me and you all ensured that I felt good and was comfortable. You guys are just incredible and I want to spend all the time with you!
