Today is International Women’s Day. It’s a day dedicated across the globe to celebrate all women everywhere. Every success, every failure, every perfection and every flaw. Every smile, every stretch mark. Every tear and every smirk. Every vote, every election. Every opportunity, every medical choice. Every race and every religion. Every woman everywhere.The women that have come before me, and before many of you, gave their lives, their blood, sweat, tears and lifelong dedication to ensure we have the rights we do today. If we’ve had the opportunity to discuss why I shoot only female boudoir, you know it’s heavily rooted in the ideals of feminism, equality and the simple idea that we as women should lift each other up, not tear each other down.Life is not about competition. It’s not about who’s got the better body, the perkier boobs, the nicer skin, the straighter smile. It’s about seeing the thing we each have in perfection and celebrating it to the fullest extent. I have seen women of all shapes and sizes, all races and religions come into my little studio and find that one thing that makes them so incredible. Sometimes it’s crazy long legs. Sometimes it’s beautiful hair. Sometimes it’s a body that has birthed 4 children with boobs that you’d swear were fake they were so perfect (no joke!). I believe strongly in the notion that it’s what’s on the inside that matters. But I also believe that feeling beautiful, wanted, confident, sexy and empowered is equally important. Both the insides and the outsides of any person are necessary to who they are, what they stand for, what they believe. So it’s not correct really to say it’s only the insides that matter, when really it all matters. Most of my guests know they are good people on the inside, they are aware of the hours they sacrifice for their families, they are aware of the love they give to their friends, they are aware of the good deeds they do when no one is watching. What they are often not aware of (or have forgotten) is their external beauty. The thing that makes them sparkle in the sun. Typically the deposit for any session is $150.00 and is non-refundable. Today (and everyday between now and next Sunday, March 16th at 5pm), in honor of the year this day originated in history (1908) all deposits for any session are only $19.08. You have 1 year from now to complete your shoot and you may absolutely sign up for an interest free payment plan if you’d like.
This year the theme for IWD is #MakeItHappen. Now is the time for you to do the same. I’ve dropped the deposit so you can afford your session. And despite what you may think about your body, I assure you there are many magical things about it you are missing. If you’re feeling like you need to lose weight before your shoot I offer you up these solutions:
Book it now for a few months from now. Take that time to lose the weight you’d like. However, even if you do take that time and lose the weight, or don’t…..
