21 May Client Feature Friday: A Wonderfully Supernatural Shoot!
Jezebel VonZephyr works with all kinds of women, from all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We love connecting with each client, hearing their stories and capturing their unique spirit. We believe that each session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. Each Friday we’ll feature one of our clients and share a little about her.
Our first featured Belle is from Granite Falls, Washington and came to the Jezebel studio to do a magical, powerful Project Fan Girl session! She loves Wonder Woman and Supernatural and considers herself a Trekkie, so we had some fun capturing her different fandom loves during her boudoir shoot!
Age: 45
What is your theme song? “Believer” by Imagine Dragons
What are three words you’d use to describe yourself? Strong, compassionate, introspective (It has taken me 45 years to finally give myself descriptors that are not negative.)
Is this your first Jezebel shoot?
This is my only one so far. I’m considering a second for my professional profile.
Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ?
I wanted to do something for myself. (It’s also a bonus for my husband, but it wasn’t for him.)
How did you feel before your shoot?
Super pumped!
How was your session? What was your favorite part?
It was so much fun! I did Project Fan Girl so incorporating my favorite fandoms was really cool. I think my favorite part was getting to know Sara and Tiffany (but also getting made up and wearing items I wouldn’t normally wear).
What was your favorite look from your session? Why?
Honestly, I thought the Wonder Woman-inspired pictures would be my favorite but I was really impressed with the Supernatural pics! I loved wearing the Dean jacket.
Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why?
I brought my Star Trek communicator badge because I am a huge Trekkie. It ended up not being my most favorite look but I am still glad I did it!
How are you feeling since your session?
I feel empowered. I have not found myself to be an attractive person but Sara was amazing at bringing out my physical strengths. Some of those pictures didn’t even feel like me because I have this preconceived idea of what I think I look like. There was this moment where I thought “Wow! That is me?”
How was your reveal?
I was more nervous about the reveal then the session itself. It was hard to look at pictures of myself. With some of them I was floored at how well they turned out and others I was very critical of my body. Sara is very gentle and understanding about those feelings and she has an uncanny way of making you see and understand your true beauty.
Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ?
Just do it! Stop over thinking it. My favorite mantra is “Don’t think, just do”. Also, there is a work around for everything. Don’t want to show so much skin? That’s okay! Don’t think you are photogenic? I thought the same thing and was shown otherwise. If you are even considering it I suggest talking to someone on the team. They will talk you through all of your concerns and fears.
Did you enjoy her story? Love the photos? You could create some magic of your own with Jezebel VonZephyr! If you’d like to see yourself in a new light, book your shoot today!
