28 Jan Client Feature Friday: Cosplay Comes to the Studio!
Jezebel VonZephyr works with all kinds of women, from the suburbs of Seattle to all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We love connecting with each client, hearing her stories and capturing her unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we feature one of our clients and share a little about her.
Today we feature a new Belle who came to play–cosplay! She missed donning her gorgeous outfits so she decided to do a Project Fan Girl session! We loved seeing all of her costumes and props come to life in front of the camera. Let’s hear more from this creative client!
Age: 56
Where are you from? I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland; I live in Seattle now.
What is your theme song? I’m not sure I have a theme song!
What are three words you’d use to describe yourself? Adventurous, creative, kind.
Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not, how many have you had? This was my first Jezebel shoot.
Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? I had never done a boudoir shoot before and I really wanted to do one. The combination of boudoir and cosplay really intrigued me. I have been cosplaying for several years and I thought it would be fun to combine the two.
How did you feel before your shoot? Nervous! But that did not last long. 🙂
How was your session? What was your favorite part? The session was great. Tiffany made me look amazing, I felt like a movie star and Sara was great at posing me and putting me at ease. The whole session was relaxing and fun.
What was your favorite look from your session? Why? This is a tough question because I loved all the looks we put together! I had two costumes for Poison Ivy and two for Princess Ariel. But if I had to choose one, it was the last costume we did for Ariel, because it was sexy and flattering and put a different spin on the character.
How are you feeling since your session? Like I want to do more photo shoots!!!
Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? I brought a lot of accessories and cosplay props to the studio, because I really enjoy all the little details that go into my cosplays. One thing I brought was a trident I had made for my Ariel costume a couple years ago. For Poison Ivy I brought a green scarf I had crocheted several years ago, that I also wear in everyday life.
How was your reveal? The reveal was wonderful. I loved all the photos!
Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ? I would say do it! Spoil yourself. You won’t regret it and you’ll see yourself in a whole new light!
Anything else you want to share about your session and/or experience? As an older woman, I often feel erased by society. Doing this photo shoot made me feel sexy and alive. Also, I haven’t cosplayed in a while due to the pandemic, so it was great just getting to dress up again. I look forward to doing another session soon.
