Client Feature Friday: A Swimmingly Stunning Session!

Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on womxn of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear their stories and capture their unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so they can share a part of their story.

Today we’re excited to feature a mermaid! *excited squeal* It’s not often we get to photograph a client in a mermaid tail so we were thrilled to welcome this lovely client to the studio. How did her first session go? Read on to learn if it went swimmingly! 

Where are you from? I’m from San Diego, California.

What is your theme song? “Birdhouse in your Soul” by They Might be Giants

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself? Smart, creative, nerdy.

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? Yes.

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? I was looking for something fun to do for my birthday. I met the ladies at their booth at Emerald City Comic Con and it seemed like it would be a good birthday present for myself. I also wanted some good pictures in my mermaid tail.

How did you feel before your shoot? Honestly I was having a low self esteem day and was hopeful that the session would improve that.

I was also a little nervous that I wouldn’t like the pictures because I don’t usually like pictures of myself. (I make weird faces)

How was your session? What was your favorite part? My session went really well. I really enjoyed getting dolled up before my shoot and Sara was great at making me feel comfortable and posing me.

The best part was that I felt like I was the sexiest thing ever! 

What was your favorite look from your session? Why? It’s so hard to decide! My mermaid pictures came out great. But I think my favorite was the first set of pictures with my Bo-Katan helmet and the floofy blue robe because: floofy blue robe!!!

How are you feeling since your session? I’ve been riding a self-esteem high and that’s been great.

I’ve been feeling a lot more confident about my body than I usually do.

Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? I brought my mermaid tail because I definitely wanted some pictures of myself in that. Normally when out in the water being a mermaid, I forget to take pictures.

How was your reveal? I’ve been thinking about this a lot.

The best thing about the reveal is that my body parts I’ve always been self-conscious about look amazing.

Like why did I ever not like my legs? Apparently I have great legs and I never noticed before! It seems crazy that I was ever self-conscious about them.

Also all of the pictures came out amazing. 

Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ? Just do it.

It’s super fun and you’ll feel amazing.

Maybe practice walking in high heels for a bit if you don’t wear them normally. I probably should have done that. 😆
