Client Feature Friday: Kimonos and Cosplay!

Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on womxn of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear their stories and capture their unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so they can share a part of their story.

Today we feature a client who came in for their first shoot. They were anxious for their session, but worked through their nerves. We love when someone is nervous, but still brave enough to say yes to themselves! Read on to learn how their session went! 

Where are you from? I was born and raised here in Washington!

What is your theme song? Mind pluck by subtronics and HOL!

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself? Strong, unique and loving.

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not, how many have you had? Yes it was my first session!

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? I couldn’t pass up the offers. And it was for a special person.

How did you feel before your shoot? I was extremely anxious on the drive there but the studio and the people there calmed me down immensely.

How was your session? What was your favorite part? I loved it! It was a lot of fun to see myself in their light after I had started my transition! 

My favorite part honestly was getting to know the people in the studio and just talking and having fun!

What was your favorite look from your session? Why? I would have to say the fishnet look. Who doesn’t love fishnets and a huge coat!

It made me feel so empowering to be able to wear something so revealing and not be repulsed by myself because I was having such a fun time!

How are you feeling since your session? Still anxious but happy that it happened. I’m glad that I get to enjoy these photos with my partner and friends.

Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? I brought my Astolfo cosplay, who is my partner’s favorite character. I also brought my favorite cosplay piece which was the kimono! 

How was your reveal? It was so much fun to see how the pictures turned out and get to talk with everyone again!

Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ? Remember that it’s not super scary and to just have fun with it!
