30 Aug Presenting Flannel, Fall & Feminist Fun! (A New Event!)
Do you need some photos done? In this case we’re not talking about boudoir photos! Maybe you just need a couple of headshots. Or perhaps you want some professional photos of your family or friend group.
Well you are in luck! On Saturday morning, September 17th, Jezebel is holding its first ever Pay-What-You-Can event at our studio!
We’re very excited about our inaugural event with the theme: “Flannel, Fall, and Feminist FUN!”
Participants will have the opportunity to snag some seasonally fun photos, professional headshots, or even capture their feminist side at this event!
What is this event exactly?
The Pay-What-You-Can event is a donation-based photo session that is open to the community. It is for anyone who needs some photos and has a tight schedule. Donations for our first event will be going to Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho.
Each session will be 10 minutes long, which will be just enough time for us to capture you in whatever way you need! We plan to offer this event quarterly.
What sets are available?
We’re offering three of our most popular sets for this event:
- The Light Wall
- The Feminist Wall
- Our seasonal set, Something Wicked
What kind of photos can I get?
We want to be clear that this event is not for boudoir photos. Those take a lot more time, energy and planning. The intent of this event is for people to be able to get some fantastic professional photos quickly.
Some of the possibilities include:
- Headshots for your LinkedIn profile or website
- Family photos: The holidays are coming up so this is the perfect opportunity to get your family portrait taken now!
- Birthday pictures
- Friend photos: BFFs wearing matching outfits or your friend group showing off cute costumes! Friends don’t always get a lot of opportunities to hang out and celebrate their bonds, so this is the perfect opportunity!
- Halloween/Spooky Season photos: This is an excellent way to celebrate and show off your dark side on our seasonal set!
- Just because: You don’t need a reason to want to have a quick shoot! Come play and donate to a good cause!
What is included in this session?
You will get 10 minutes of session time and digital prints, which will be posted on Facebook and sent via a link up to two weeks after the event. Please note that your photos will be watermarked, but you can have that removed for an additional $100 donation to PPGWNI.
Because these sessions are brief we are not not offering any hair and/or makeup for them. You must come to your session camera-ready and in the outfit you want to be photographed in.
How do I sign up?
People are strongly encouraged to sign up for their session ahead of time in order to secure their session. There are limited spaces available and you can sign up at this link. We may have spots open the day of the event, but they are not guaranteed, so if you want to take advantage you should register right now!
What is the investment?
We are doing this event as a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho.
The suggested minimum donation is $20. You can either donate directly to the organization and show us your receipt or pay us cash at your session. Because this is a fundraiser we strongly encourage people to give as much as they can to help this cause that is near and dear to our hearts.
Anything else that we need to know?
This event is open to all people: women, men, transgender, cis-gender, and non-binary. Families and couples are encouraged to take advantage of this event. The Jezebel VonZephyr studio is an LGBTQ+ and BIPOC safe studio.
Each session is capped at four adults or five people total.
Pets are not allowed.
Be sure to come camera-ready (meaning your outfit is on and your hair and makeup is done) because you will not have time or space to change or have hair and makeup done before your shoot.
We are so excited to open our studio to the community and offer photos in exchange for supporting one of our favorite causes.
Sign up fast because slots are sure to fill quickly!
We can’t wait to see you for our Flannel, Fall and Feminist Fun sessions on September 17th!
