Consent, Photo Sharing and You

At Jezebel VonZephyr consent reigns supreme. Consent is queen. Consent informs everything that we do. 

Why is that? 

Because we believe that consent is of the utmost importance. We recognize that our clients are coming into the studio feeling potentially nervous and vulnerable. (And we want to note that those are perfectly normal emotions to have when doing a boudoir session!) So we want to do everything we can to make sure that you feel comfortable with us and what is happening during your shoot. 

What does this mean?

Because we center consent and the feelings of our clients, this means that we do everything we can to act with positive intent. We want you to feel comfortable and confident and those things can’t happen without your consent.

So what does that look like in the studio?

It means that we’ll ask you how you want to feel during your session and how you think that may translate into your hair and makeup. 

It looks like a conversation about your outfits before your actual shoot begins, so you know what you’ll be wearing and talk about anything that might feel uncomfortable or awkward. 

It means that we’ll check in with you throughout the session to see how you’re doing and what you’re feeling. That also means that we’ll hold space for any big feelings that may come up as you go through your session.

The Jezebel experience isn’t a typical boudoir shoot; a lot of times people end up feeling things they didn’t anticipate. We’re used to this and because we center your emotions and comfort, we are prepared to help you process those feelings. Our studio is a safe space for you to feel all your feelings.

Permissions and Privacy

Consent is also a critical part of photo sharing as well. You get to tell us if we are allowed to share any photos of you on this blog, our social media, in ads, or anywhere else. At your reveal you choose if you will sign a waiver granting us permission to use some, none, or all of your photos. You are in complete control of what pictures you want to share with the world–or if you even want to share them at all. 

It is entirely up to you. 

All of the photos you see here on the blog and our website and in our social media are from clients who have granted us permission to use them. We never use photos without your express written consent.

You also have the ability to tell us which photos you’d like us to use. If you don’t want us to share photos of your butt and back that’s totally fine! If you like some of the photos but don’t want to show your face, we got you and will only share those without your face in them. With Jezebel VonZephyr you are in complete control of your photos and what gets shared, if anything. 

We also want to note that absolutely no photos are ever shared of anyone’s bare breasts and nipples. Nor do we share entirely nude photos of our clients. Those are photos that we believe a client should have complete ownership over, so you will never see any of those photos anywhere. 

The other thing we will never share are any active military gear photos unless we have permission.  The only military photos we share are those of inactive personnel or of those who have given us explicit written consent. 

What You Want Matters

You matter. And when you’re at our studio what you want matters, which is why we work diligently to make sure that you feel comfortable before, during, and after your session. You are in control and you get the final say when it comes to your photos because you matter. And so does consent. Jezebel VonZephyr sees you, honors you, and respects you. We can’t wait to have you in our studio so we can celebrate you as well!
