Jezebel VonZephyr loves to shine a spotlight on womxn of every age and size. We live to connect with each client; and we pride ourselves on holding space for each of them so we can hear their stories and capture their unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so they can share a part of their story.

This week, we were delighted to have this stunning mermaid in studio to talk about self-worth, empowerment and finding her authentic identity. After all, a mermaid knows that beneath the surface, there is always something beautiful waiting to be discovered!

Grew up in the redwoods of CA but consider myself from farm country in Eastern WA

Considerate, authentic, adventurous
 

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not how many have you had?

Yes!

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ?

Left an emotionally/verbally abusive relationship with a partner, which seriously compromised my self esteem. I needed to restore my sense of self worth and empowerment.
 

How did you feel before your shoot?

Excited, I had faith that Sara would help me find a lost part of myself.
 

How was your session? What was your favorite part?

Loved having makeup and hair done for me since my kids tell me I am terrible at it. I didn’t wash my hair for two days, it felt good to feel a little dolled up!

What was your favorite look from your session? Why?

The mermaid pictures were a super favorite because I could share them with others. I also really loved the blue outfit because it felt like the poses were classy and sexy without being too immodest.
 
How are you feeling since your session?
 
I want every woman I know to have the same experience, to feel that there is some aspect of themselves and their body that is worthy of gratitude.
 
Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why?
 
Mermaid tail, a little splurge!

How was your reveal?

Awesome, everything I had hoped for!
 
Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ?
 
Don’t wait for the scale to read a number, for you to reach a size, or any other arbitrary obstacle. Just do it! If you reach those goals, then reward yourself again. Life is too short to spend one more day doubting yourself!
