Some seek freedom, clarity, or a spark after feeling dim for too long. And some come simply because they’re done waiting for permission to feel powerful. These stories are the heartbeat of the Jezebel Empowerment Experience. They’re why we exist, why we create the spaces we do, and why we treat every session like a reclamation, not just a photoshoot. Before her session, she admitted that being plus-size came with a lot of anxiety, but after losing 108 pounds and deciding she was done waiting for the right time, she chose to celebrate who she is now.

“I adored the rain room! Hair perfectly tousled, in a hot outfit and full face of unmelting makeup—it felt like my childhood main-character-energy walking around in the pouring rain.”
