Client Feature Friday: Seeing Her Beautiful Self Through Her Boudoir Session

Jezebel VonZephyr works with all kinds of women, from the suburbs of Seattle to all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We love connecting with each client, hearing her stories and capturing her unique spirit. We believe that every session is special in its own way, and we want to share that magic with the world. On Fridays we shine a spotlight on a client so she can share a part of her story. 

Today we hear from a Belle who summoned the courage to do her first boudoir session after seeing our website.  She may have originally come to Jezebel for photos to give as a gift for her husband, but she left feeling seen, empowered, and beautiful—which is the ultimate gift a woman can give to herself! 

Age: 45

Where are you from? I was born in NY, but was raised in Minot, North Dakota as my dad was in the Air Force. 

What is your theme song? “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera – after so many years, I can finally HEAR the words. 

What are three words you’d use to describe yourself? Amiable, Inventive, Adventurous. 

Is this your first Jezebel shoot? If not, how many have you had? This was my very first shoot, but definitely not my last 

Why did you decide to book a session with JVZ? I have wanted to do a boudoir shoot for many years, but never felt confident as all I’ve ever seen are these super thin women, and I am far from that.  When I came across the Jezebel VonZephyr site and saw that she (Sara) saw the beauty in everyone, I made the decision to finally take the final leap to schedule a session.  The reason for wanting to do it was actually for my husband as a belated anniversary gift.

How did you feel before your shoot? I felt incredibly nervous, but I was also super excited!

How was your session? What was your favorite part? I loved my session! I loved that I felt pampered, and that I was SEEN for who I am!

What was your favorite look from your session? Why?  I loved all my outfits as I took weeks to pick everything out. 

How are you feeling since your session?  I definitely feel more confident in who I am.  When I look at myself in the mirror, I don’t look for flaws anymore: I see myself as a whole, and that I am beautiful just as I am.

Did you bring anything special with you to the studio? Why? I brought some of my books with me as I LOVE to read!

How was your reveal?  It was AMAZING!  As I sat with my husband watching the slideshow that Sara put together of all my photos I actually started to cry, which I did not expect. I saw the real beauty in who I am. 

Any advice for anyone thinking of booking a session with JVZ?  If you are torn on booking a session, DO IT!!  I promise, you will not regret it!

Anything else you want to share about your session and/or experience?  Sara and Tiffany are two of the most beautiful people that I have met in so many years. They helped me see ME and I am so unbelievably thankful for that!
